Problem statement

The problem statement needs to answer these four questions:

  • Who is affected by the problem?

  • What might be causing the problem?

  • What is the goal for improvement?

Identifing a classroom problem

 Problem: How does the use of audiovisual materials help for teaching vocabulary to children of 7th year of basic education at Miguel Riofrio school 2016-2017 school year?

The problem is carry out on students of 7th year of Basic Education at Miguel Riofrio School. They are 32 students in the classroom that are having problems with vocabulary, whitout understanding vocabulary in context, not remembering words to complete a test or activity and making  spelling mistakes at the moment to write. This issue is concerning us because they can't follow different academic activities because teacher is not using the appropriate audiovisual materials for teaching vocabulary. We have some goals for improve the learning vocabulary on these students. Develop their knowledge on spelling, understanding and remembering toward an adequate level by using adequate audiovisual materials for learning vocabulary.
